Two more months to go.

Unfortunately, the cortisone shot I had on August 30th only lasted me about a week. I have to take more over the counter medications and the Celebrex every day. I got my TENS unit out and have been wearing it every day at work, and it is helping to wear it constantly. I am using my old walking boot for outdoor things and bought a new walking boot to wear at work on the "bad days". Now that the season is changing and the weather will be getting colder, I know the "bad days" will come more often, so I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

We built a new hunting blind for me that has steps I can manage, since I can no longer manage climbing into my deer tree stand. The blind itself is an old outhouse with nice thick walls and insulated that sits up on top of a 5 foot platform we built. I am excited to get to try it out soon.

I did very well with the two wellness challenges at work. I completed the 28 day fat loss challenge with 5% reduction in fat percentage. I completed and won the 200 mile race to Six Flags in six weeks and one day. I felt really good for the 6 weeks that I was focused on the challenges. I intend to challenge myself even further now to keep it going and get in even better shape for the next two months.
